concert photography has been transformed from emotive black & white photography in the 50s — thinking of jazz clubs — to today’s (sometimes) overly sharp, saturated and loud presentation, mainly for magazines and web. rarely there is an intrigue about the photo, with all the details in your face.
due to circumstances of very low light conditions, small venues and other factors, the approach to concert photography here is not made for editorial work. instead, there is a very shallow depth of field, and the focus is usually on the never-moving microphone. however, I hope the viewer is more engaged in the photo.
